Meet our amazing team that will take you to the next level in your personal development journey.
Carmen Prema’s journey began with a simple curiosity: to understand what it truly means to be human — in body, mind, energy, and spirit. Over more than 35 years of yoga practice and teaching, this quest became her life’s mission.
Her path has been rich and diverse. From being a national rowing champion and part of the Olympic preparation team, Carmen learned discipline, strength of will, and the wisdom of the body. She also earned degrees in Law and Psychology, which brought her a deeper and broader understanding about the world and society. Meanwhile she became a mother of a beautiful son and she understood and continues to cherish until today the value of family.
Later, as an osteopath and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, she deepened her understanding of the body’s energy systems.
She completed her studies with a degree in Phytotherapy and Herbology in Lisbon. Carmen is a registered Acupuncture and Herbology professionist, in Portugal.
She also holds a Master in Psychology of Education, where her thesis, a scientific study, explored how yoga supports teenagers in times of transformation.
Guided by her teachers, among them Simona Trandafir – her beloved yoga teacher, Sahajananda, Master Mantak Chia, Ma Laoshi, and Master Chris Luth — Carmen wove together the threads of Yoga, Qigong, Taoist practices, and Meditation into an integrated vision of human potential.
Out of this vision, she founded Sundari Integral Yoga© School in Portugal, a space for both inner growth and professional yoga training, registered with Yoga Alliance. Teaching in English, Portuguese, and French, she shares not just techniques but a way of living with presence, harmony, and joy.
