Theoretical Framework of the Teachings
The Sundari Integral Yoga© CTTC tailors Yoga practices for children, focusing on understanding two essential aspects: the correct practice of yoga techniques and the needs of children at different stages of development.
This course is structured around the widely accepted progressive stages of child development, considering the various factors influencing growth, including genetics, cognition, physical abilities, family, culture, nutrition, education, and environment.
You’ll learn theoretical and practical teaching methodologies for the main developmental groups of children: toddlers, preschoolers, elementary school students, pre-teens, and teenagers. This includes games, asanas, children’s yoga stories emphasizing Hridaya concepts, breathing exercises, meditation, and relaxation techniques.
You will study about the child development, the patterns of growth, from which guidelines for “normal” progress are constructed. This knowledge is alowing a holistic approach that sees the child as a whole person—physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, morally, culturally, and spiritually.
Yoga for Children Teaching Methodology
The Sundari CTTC covers concepts related to the learning process, teaching styles, and how to teach yoga techniques tailored to each child’s developmental stage. During these sessions, you will learn how to provide professional assistance to children while correcting their yoga practice. The teachers will explain how to create stories for the children’s yoga classes, structure a children’s yoga class, and discuss theoretical concepts related to games, asanas, meditation, breathing, and mindfulness for children.
You will also learn about the personal qualities a yoga teacher should develop, including practical communication skills for interacting with children, and how to establish a harmonious and respectful relationship between yoga teachers and children, as well as between yoga teachers and parents or guardians. You will also explore class management skills and learn how to troubleshoot potential challenges.

The course offers you an in-person Children’s Yoga Teacher Training (CYTTC) and includes lectures, practical exercises, Hridaya Hatha Yoga sessions, games, stories, and many other fun activities.
